The five local west coast associations of customs brokers and freight forwarders (San Diego, LA, Northern Cal, Columbia River, Washington State) banded together to form the Pacific Coast Council of Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders, known as the PCC, to assure that brokers and forwarders along the nation’s largest international trade gateway, the Pacific Coast, can survive and prosper. The PCC provides multi-faceted services to the brokers and forwarders:

• Conducting the nations’ premier educational and networking conference for brokers and forwarders, known as WESCCON, each October.
• The PCC’s Annual Mission to Washington DC, an intensive program with Members of Congress, the senior officials of CBP and FMC, engagement with leaders of the Washington DC international trade community.
• Weekly Zoom briefings, throughout the year these are providing PCC member brokers and forwarder the “Washington, DC Insider” perspectives of PCC Counsel Peter Friedmann and Ray Bucheger, as well as unique face-to-face opportunities to meet with the personalities leading trade and transportation developments;
• Unparalleled access to the Congressional offices and Committees to assure legislation reflects the interests of PCC brokers and forwarders, this included a wide variety of topics from Customs broker regulation, ongoing Customs modernization, ocean shipping, etc.
